Apple makes smart decision to introduce cheaper options on their smartphones

Apple has launched two new smartphones – the speedy iPhone 5S and the less expensive iPhone 5C, at a special launch event in Cupertino, California. The new iPhone models will will be made available in more than 50 new markets by Nov. 1, including Russia, Spain and Italy.

Most of the rumours being circulated about the iPhone 5S in the past weeks have turned out to be genuine, including the new fingerprint scanner feature. Apple have also moved away from the product's traditional monochrome look, with the 5S available in champagne gold, silver and 'Space Grey'.

What's more, the cheaper 5C is available in a selection of blue, green, yellow, pink and white. The iPhone 5S is going to feature a state-of-the-art new chip that offers what Apple claims is desktop computer calibre performance, an improved camera and a fingerprint security scanner; the 5C will use a plastic body and many of the internals of the existing iPhone 5. Both will feature the new operating system, iOS7, that Apple hopes will update its software to compete with newer versions from Google and Microsoft.

Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, described the 5S as “the most forward-thinking phone perhaps anyone has ever made.”

Meanwhile, chief executive Tim Cook announced that Apple would ship its 700-millionth iOS device this month, emphasising that the iPhone remains the world’s most popular single phone.

Commenting on the launch, JustCall spokesperson said: "Apple has made a smart decision to provide their customer base with more choice, especially when it comes to the less expensive iPhone 5C. Furthermore, Touch ID is a great addition for corporate users as well as private device owners."

JustCall provide cheap international calls from the UK to the rest of the world. Visit their website to find out more about the telephone service they offer.
