Leading hearing aid battery manufacturer, Rayovac, is continuing to back charities across the globe, with a range of new initiatives – including a recent mission to Morocco, with French charity Audition Solidarité.

Rayovac joined the team from Audition Solidarité as they ventured to Agadir, Morocco, to a school for deaf children at the Zohour Centre. The mission, now in its third year, ensures hundreds of children receive the hearing devices they require to fully enjoy their everyday lives, with Rayovac supplying thousands of hearing aid batteries to meet their needs.

The charity also trained teachers at the Zohour Centre, to ensure the smooth continued running of the new equipment, as well as after-mission support for everyone at the school.

Rayovac has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the charity and provides ongoing support to Audition Solidarité, this year donating over €6,000 through a special corporate sponsorship scheme. For every audiologist who is a patron of the charity and offers Rayovac batteries, Rayovac donates €50 to the charity. The ongoing contribution from Rayovac is set to be celebrated at the upcoming Audition Solidarite weekend event this October.

Arnaud Martin, from Rayovac, said: “For Rayovac, manufacturing is about so much more than producing and shipping our products around the world – we truly care about the communities we serve and we are actively involved in supporting the hearing industry."

“Our recent mission to the Zohour Centre in Morocco was unbelievably inspiring. It was wonderful to see the delighted faces of the children at the school and to know that the support doesn’t stop with our trip out there – the whole school will continue to receive the technical help they need for the future."

“We look forward to continuing to support Audition Solidarité and the life-changing work they undertake.”

Christine Bourger, the president of Audition Solidarité, said: “We are very grateful to Rayovac for their continued support. To have the backing of a global manufacturer, makes the work we do so much easier and thanks to Rayovac, we’re able to supply hearing aid batteries to those who need them the most.”

As a global company, Rayovac cares about the community and is committed to supporting charities around the world. The company has forged links with projects supporting the deaf and hard of hearing community from Europe to Africa. To date, Rayovac has supplied charity initiatives around the world with millions of batteries in total.

Rayovac’s charity projects include regular monetary donations for UK charity, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and German charity, Deutschen Schwerhorigenbundes DSB and ongoing battery donations for Hark, Africa; SOS Children’s Village in Malawi and the Hörgerätebatterien project, Chernobyl.
