Announcement from the Becoming Visible Board of Trustees

This is an exciting announcement from the Trustees from Becoming Visible for those that live in and around the North East.  Becoming Visible has been based at the Newcastle Deaf Centre for over 10 years now and, during that time, it has continued to develop to the extent that it has outgrown the space we have within the Deaf Centre.

This lack of space now means that we can’t continue with our planned developments and continue to grow in the same way.  So after long, deliberate and often difficult discussions we have taken the decision to move to new premises.  The move will happen at the end of April, early May 2014, but we want to emphasise that this move does not mean the end of our relationship with the Deaf Centre as we will continue to support and have a presence here.

We will be moving to Mea House, which is readily accessible to all with plenty of rooms that we will be able to use, and, is just round the corner from Northumberland Street at the centre of Newcastle!

Whilst we do feel saddened to be leaving the Deaf Centre we are also excited by the opportunities that this move will give us.  So we are really looking forward to seeing and welcoming you to our new premises in May.
